Hello! My name is Pippa Stacey, and I’m a disabled freelancer based in Yorkshire. I split my time between writing , speaking, content creation, and working as a communication consultant in the charity sector. In my free time I enjoy travel, theatre, and reading, and you’ll usually find me wearing the cosiest of loungewear and drinking *all* the tea.

When I was a teenager, I acquired a debilitating chronic illness. This completely changed my busy, active way of life and it took a huge amount of time and effort to find my feet and adjust to my new normal.

Thankfully I discovered the chronic illness community on social media, and this has played a pivotal role in helping me to rediscover my sparkle. Connecting with other people who I could relate to and seeing them tell their stories motivated me to begin sharing my own, and it was from here that things began to take off…

I’ve always loved to write, but all through this topsy-turvy time, writing has been my lifeline.

It’s something that I really love to do, and something my condition thankfully hasn’t taken away from me. Living with a long-term health condition has taught me to find humour in even the most bizarre situations, leading to plenty of what my friends affectionately named ‘Life Of Pippa’ moments. Therefore, in 2017 I decided to launch my own blog of the same name, centred around the things that are most important to me.

I’ve been part of the online world for over a decade now, and I’m truly thankful for the opportunities that sharing my story has brought me. I’m building a freelance career that I love, connecting with thousands of brilliant people through my social media platforms, and I’ve even managed to pick up some shiny awards and accolades along the way.

These days, I’m best known for being a published author, an experienced speaker, and a disabled influencer sharing accessible travel and lifestyle content. I’m also a communication consultant working directly with charities, organisations, and brands, and one of the UK’s only experts in Energy Limiting Conditions and work.

Above all else, my aim is to chase my ambitions and live a fulfilling life alongside my chronic illness, rather than despite it. It’s not easy when your dreams are bigger than your daily energy allowance, but I’m doing my best to find the balance and show compassion to myself in the process. My condition and lived experiences have shaped the person I am today, and I hope that with all I’ve learned and continue to learn, I can try and open doors for others too.

Thank you so much for reading, and welcome! I’m so glad you’re here. If you’d like to get in touch, be sure to say hello on social media, find out more about my work, shop my books and eBooks, or contact me via email at [email protected]!
