I’ve never read any of these, and the only one I’ve heard of is Please Read This Leaflet Carefully. That one I’ve had on my TBR for the last year since I first heard about it. Will make a note of a few others here now and make sure I get around to finding a copy, so thank you. I’m glad there are writers out there making a difference and bringing a chronically ill character to life in a believable way, rather than making a weak token character or relying on often incorrect stereotypes. xx

The only one here I have read so far is Get a Life, Chloe Brown. Like you, it’s not my usual genre, but I enjoyed it and really appreciated the honest way the author portrayed chronic illness.

The others all sound great, too.

I would add one to the list: The State of Me by Nasim Marie Jafry – an excellent novel in every way, with a main character who has ME/CFS. Here’s my review:
