Pippa thank you for sharing your insights and experiences about self employment. Being able to freelance and work for myself is one of my goals, and several things have confirmed for me lately that my health is just not in a place where I can do that, YET! I’ll definitely be referring back to this post when I’m close to that point. I especially like the idea of finding regular columnist positions to cut down on pitching.
I really admire all you’re doing and your willingness to be real about the ups and downs. I hope you’re continuing to find that balance of pursuing all you want to do while prioritizing your health!

I’m tired just reading all you’re doing/ have done. I have the luxury of talking from retirement after 32 years of teaching. I let my work and family be everything, leaving now I time for myself. Now, due to Fibromyalgia, I’m being forced to totally flip that around. As a young, intelligent, creative, ambitious woman, you can do anything. I’m glad that you are consciously thinking of balance. So hard to do, though.
